Liat Grayver's studio is full of half-finished canvases, worn brushes, and the materials of her practice. It was the natural place to photograph her, not just as an artist, but at work.
We planned the shoot entirely in her studio, changing outfits between setups to create a range of images. We photographed both portraits and moments of Liat working among the canvases and materials that surround her every day.
The result is a versatile set of images that Liat has used across her website, social media, and press releases. Rather than relying on images of her finished work, the photographs give people a glimpse into her studio and the person behind it. They show Liat at work, in her own environment, and give a sense of the practice behind the finished pieces.
